LOCATION SEARCH
What Location Types can I search for?
CitiStroller version 1.0 has ten (10) location categories: Train (stroller accessible stations); Changing Tables; Nursing Spots; Parks; Playgrounds; Indoor Play & Activities (including museums and enrichment classes); Restaurants; Cafés; Baby & Kids Gear Shops; and Stroller Repair & Service locations.
How do I use the Location Menu?
The Location Menu is your first stop when you start up CitiStroller. Use the location menu to choose the type of locations you want to see. Up to three (3) may be viewed at one time. When you’ve chosen your location types, click on the Map button to take you to a map displaying the listed locations in your area or the area you’re searching. Your chosen location types will also be displayed at the bottom right of your map screen.
How do I view Location Details?
Each location listed on the map can be viewed in Location Detail mode, with important information such as address, phone number, website, ratings and description. Location Details are accessible by clicking on the name of the location, and Location Details will show up in a new screen. All users may add their own ratings, and registered users may add their own comments to the description section and relevant tags in the tags section.
How do I use the Map?
The map button takes you to our mapping view, so you can see the location types selected in your search area. If locations are not displaying correctly, use the refresh button (circular arrow, to the left of the map button) to reset the map.
How do I find my current location?
Use the GPS location button, to the far left on the blue navigation bar, to focus the map on your precise current location using your phone’s GPS. You can always use the search bar or scroll the map manually to move the map to another location of interest as needed.
What do I do to if I don’t have GPS or don’t have GPS enabled?
The app may be unable to find your current location, but you should still be able to use the search tool to find locations in our various categories. However, you do need to have an Internet connection in order to run the app and access our database.
How do I use the Search Bar?
In CitiStroller version 1.0, our simple search function finds general locations using ZIP CODE or CITY NAME. For example, if my GPS location is Dallas, Texas, but I want to look up locations in Chicago, I can simply enter Chicago, IL or 60615. Future versions will allow proper name-based location searches, but not version 1.0.
New locations are not showing up after I search them, or when I enter new location choices, what should I do?
Please use the refresh button, the circular arrow icon, directly to the left of the map button if locations are not displaying on the map.

What are the benefits of registering?
Smartphone App Benefits: Smartphone app users are able to add their own locations, comment on existing locations, and add relevant tags.
Web Benefits: Registered users are able to add new locations, comment, rate and tag in a fast and simple way through our web portal. Adding listings outside of your current location is a breeze with the web version of CitiStroller.

What do I do if I’ve forgotten my username or password?
Please create a new username and password and set your smartphone to “save info” during the next login.
FAVORITES
How do I add a Favorite location?
You may choose any location as a favorite simply by clicking on the orange star icon to the left of the location name. Once a location is saved to your favorites, you can look it up at any time from the Favorites menu and view its location and details. You do not have to be registered to add a favorite location.
How do I view my existing Favorites?
Click on the Favorites button (star icon) on the bottom navigation menu. Your favorite locations will be listed on this page. Click on an individual favorite location and the app will take you to the map view of that location.
ADDING LOCATIONS
How do I add a new location?
Step 1: Register (http://www.citistroller.com/accounts/register/) as a CitiStroller user
Step 2: Click the Add button (+ icon) to the right of the location menu icon, you will be asked to choose the location type(s) for your new location. Once you’ve chosen, click map.
Step 3: You will see the icon for your new location in green with a + icon in the middle. It will be visible either at your GPS location or within the middle of the area you were last searching. You can move the icon to the exact location you want with your finger.
Step 4: Once the icon is in the correct location, click on it to go to location details view. Add all relevant information you want to, including location name, tags, a description, and URL/phone details. Click SAVE before you go back to map view to ensure that your new location is saved to our server.
GENERAL QUESTIONS:
What if I don’t see a location I’m looking for?
Users have two options; if you’ve registered, simply add the location yourself, or you can email us at info@CitiStroller.com to add it to our database.
What if there are no locations available in my area?
Please email us at info@CitiStroller.com to let us know you’d like your metro area covered by CitiStroller. We’d be happy to oblige, and can add content at any time without users needing to re-install the app or download an updated version.
How do I suggest a location category?
We are always considering new location categories for future versions of CitiStroller and would love to hear your ideas! Please email us at info@CitiStroller.com to share your suggestions.
What should I do if I find incorrect information?
This may happen on occasion due to inadvertent errors on our part or those made by users. Contact us or give the location a thumbs down rating. We monitor the thumbs down ratings carefully and will investigate locations that are inaccurate or not helpful to users.
